BHO's skilled and moving speech for Hillary Clinton
By Jack Brummet, National Affairs Desk
I thought BHO's speech was an amazing, funny, and warm takedown. No President has really done this in modern times...the last time a president was on stage with a hoped for successor was generations ago. And The President got down. I felt like he was operating at the level he was in this 2008 campaign photo.

We need him to be on the campaign early and often.
And don't forget Smilin' Joe's speech. I'm sorry we couldn't have fit him in as POTUS.He has a heart of gold and is a gifted politician and operator.

Governor Moonbeam endorses HRC
By Jack Brummet, National Affairs Ed.
I was surprised Governor Jerry Brown endorsed Hillary Clinton, with his history of running hard against WJC and all the heavy fire he laid down on Bill. And Hillary too. And then, of course, he didn't endorse him, even the next time. OK, time Marches on and they are burying the hatchet.

Jerry Brown was Bernie Sanders before Bernie Sanders was Bernie Sanders. I'm guessing this all about Donald Trump and the Guv placed his bet. The California race is tighter than a. . .well, you know.

Things fall apart: The state of the Democratic Presidential Primary
By Jack Brummet, National Affairs Desk
It could all fall apart, but the Trump-Ryan meeting fallout (and a lot of happy talk from both sides) today makes me nervous that the GOP-TEA PARTY is coalescing, while the Dems are embroiled in factionalism, mud-slinging, pointless churning, and back-biting.
The Dems, people seem to believe, were handed a gift horse candidate by the GOP-TP, and now they (we) are on the verge of blowing it by not capitalizing on our position. This needs to happen right here, right now...not 33 days from now when primary voting is over, and not on July 29th after the convention.
It's a very strange year where much of the conventional wisdom and laws of gravity have been swept out the door. We need to act accordingly.
